Microchipping is a quick and relatively painless procedure not unlike having a vaccination but with a larger than standard needle.
The needle inserts a small, rice grain sized chip under the skin. The chip carries an identification number that is stored in a central database with details about your pet and your contact details and the microchip number can be stored with your local council.
