A standard consultation is a general health check. We will examine your pet to determine if they are healthy and to detect and prevent any issues that may become serious or life threatening. This involves checking heart and lung sounds, temperature, examining a pet's body condition, palpating abdomen examining your pets eyes, ears, mouth/teeth for any abnormalities and trimming nails if necessary.
You can also ask your vet questions about nutrition, behaviour, dental health, and other issues that you may be concerned about.

Our pets can have illnesses and conditions that are complex and take more time to examine and investigate. These appointments cost more than a standard consultation because of the longer duration in order to provide the best advice and treatment for your pet. An example of an extended consultation that may be required include; new or ongoing skin issues, ear infections, complicated behaviour issues, disease processes and or blood collection or cases with multiple problems.
